WHEN YOU MAKE A HOLIDAY RESERVATION REQUEST WITH US THESE CONDITIONS ARE DEEMED TO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED BY YOU. If you have any questions in relation to your reservation or these terms then please contact us.
This is not a hotel but individually owned self-catering apartments and cottages.
Lairds, Lords and Ladies of Glencoe
Available exclusively to our Lairds, Lords and Ladies of Glencoe owning plots of 10 square feet and over. We ask that you confirm the names of you and your guests at the time of booking as well as your plot number in the notes section of your booking.
In light of Covid-19 and in a bid to keep everyone safe, you are agreeing to the following conditions when staying with us.
You affirm that if you or any member of your party have any symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay you will notify us immediately. You and all of your party will then leave immediately to self isolate. You understand that you are still liable for the balance of your intended stay.
You affirm that if any symptoms of COVID-19 develop post departure and / or you test positive to COVID-19 tests you will notify us to allow us to take appropriate action.
You affirm that if any symptoms occur during your stay you will request a test and / or return home immediately. If your stay is extended for any reason, you will be liable for charges relating to your extra stay and cancellation costs of any other guests that we need to cancel.
A booking for our apartment can only be made using our secure booking system through our website. You can also enquire by telephone or email.
The person making the booking must be of 18 years or over and if a guest arrives and is under 18 years they will not be permitted to stay on their own. We may require photo identification (passport/driving licence) as proof of age. Failure to provide this information may result in termination of the booking without refund.
Your reservation is not transferable. You cannot transfer or resell your reservation in whole or in part, or advertise our property and if you do your reservation may be terminated without any refund. Any reservations that are resold or transferred may not be honoured and we accept no liability.
N.B. If lockdown restrictions due to the pandemic result in our inability to offer the accommodation to you, you will be able to move or transfer your booking.
You must not exceed the maximum specified occupancy for the property. These are clearly detailed on our website. We reserve the right to refuse additional guests if it exceeds the maximum occupancy without notice or refund.
In making a reservation you agree not to use any of our accommodation, facilities or grounds to conduct any commercial activity that seeks to gain profit without prior written consent. This may result in termination of your reservation.
The price is as advertised at the point of your booking.
Your booking will be confirmed once you have completed the booking form and made full payment of a deposit of £250. If the deposit is not received within 7 days, then the booking will lapse.
Payments are to be made by debit or credit card or by bank transfer via Paypal.
The balance of the amount payable is due no less than 6 (six) weeks before the commencement of your holiday.
If full payment has not been received by this date the reservation will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
Arriving and departing the Highland Club
Details of how to find your apartment and where to collect keys will be sent to you a couple of weeks prior to your arrival.
With these being self-catering apartments there is NOT a 24hr manned reception. Check-in time is from 4pm – 8.30pm. Arrivals after 8.30pm must be by prior arrangement with a surcharge payable on arrival of £50. Arrivals after midnight cannot be accommodated and guests will have to check in the following day.
Hearts and souls have been put into the building, furnishing and decorating of the apartments for your enjoyment. Please be kind enough to observe the following:
- We ask that you take proper and reasonable care of the apartment; furniture, pictures, fittings and effects; please leave them in the same state of repair and condition, and in the same clean and tidy condition, at the end of the rental period, as at the beginning. Notify us immediately of any breakage and damages. You are legally bound to reimburse the owners for any replacement, repair or cleaning costs on demand. You must not bring any potentially hazardous or dangerous items into the property.
- We ask that you are courteous, and give due consideration to other residents. We reserve the right to terminate your booking and request that you leave the premises due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy without any refund.
- On departure day, you are required to vacate the apartment by 10am and post the keys in the letter box opposite the reception desk. If you require a later departure time then this may be possible. Any late check-outs must be confirmed by contacting us on 01320 345155 and be subject to a fee of £25.00.
- Failure to return all keys will result in a fine of £50 per key.
You must adhere to the parking rules and park in the designated spaces provided. All parking is at the owners own risk and we do not accept any liability in any circumstances for any loss or damage to vehicles or any property left in them.
You may cancel within 7 days of booking, during which time a full refund will be given. After this date the deposit is non-refundable, regardless of circumstances.
For cancellations which fall between 6 to 4 weeks prior to the arrival date 50% of the balance will be forfeited, or between 4 weeks to 2 weeks prior to the arrival date 75% of the balance will be forfeited. If cancellation should fall within 14 days of the arrival date 100% of the rental fee will be forfeited.
If you do not arrive on the scheduled date the full payment of the reservation and including any additional charges is non-refundable and will be forfeited.
Holiday cancellation insurance is not provided by us and is not included in the price of the holiday. All holiday makers are strongly recommended to take independent advice on appropriate holiday insurance.
In an event outside of our reasonable control we reserve the right to cancel your booking and in this event will refund all monies paid or offer an alternative holiday. If the alternative holiday is less than your original booking then you will receive a refund of the difference from us. We accept no liability for any additional cost of any alternative accommodation or liquidated damages which must be paid by the holiday maker.
We have a strict NO SMOKING policy and we ask our guests to adhere to this. Smoking is not permitted in any of the accommodation or any internal public area, failure to comply may result in additional costs or termination of your reservation.
We regret that we do not accept pets. Pets are also not permitted in the Abbey building.
Damage and Injury
The owners of the property do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to any belongings, nor injuries sustained by the client or any member of their party.
Highland Club Facilities
The maintenance and cleanliness of this facility is the responsibility of Highland Club Management Company, not individual apartment owners or their agents. They make every effort to keep this clean and tidy, but if it does not meet your expectations please call 01320 366 498 and they will do their best to rectify it as soon as possible.
The pool is not staffed at any time. Guests use the pool facilities entirely at their own risk. The person making the booking confirms that all guests will be advised of the Highland Club rules concerning use of the pool which must be adhered to at all times.
It must be noted that the pool is not deep enough to dive in at any point and no running is allowed in the pool area. Anyone below the age of 16 and non swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using the pool. No lone swimming is permitted and no food, drink or outdoor footwear is allowed within the facility. The pool will generally be open between 9am and 7pm daily and a booking system will be in place for guests and owners alike.
The management company retain the right to refuse access or close the pool at anytime. Detailed rules are available in every apartment.
Please bring your own towels for use in the pool complex or they can be hired when booking.
Please note that the swimming pool complex can get very busy during school holiday periods.
The swimming pool complex being available for your use is NOT a condition of your booking.
Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times and must not use the snooker table.
The Club Lounge must be left tidy for the use of other guests.
The gym is located on the floor below the swimming pool. Children (whether supervised or not) under the age of 16 are not permitted to use any item of equipment in the gym. The gym must be left tidy for other guests.
In the unlikely event of any problems during your stay you must report it immediately to us. We will attempt to resolve the matter as soon as possible but if you remain dissatisfied you must write to us within 14 days of the end of your holiday. A failure to notify us during the holiday may mean that we will be unable to resolve the dispute after you return home.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and the terms applicable to your reservation are those in force at the time of booking.
We shall not be in breach of these terms or liable for any failure to perform any of our obligations in relation to your reservation due to any adverse event, at, omission or accident which happens that is beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather condition, natural disaster, other acts of god, acts of terrorism, partial or full cancellation of major public event, interruption or fire or failure of electric power, gas, water or other utility service, plant machine, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
