Andy
Ewan
Donald

Their Story

Andy and Ewan were the first calves to join us. Born as twins to a first time mother, she was sadly unable to produce enough milk and abandoned them. Shannon, who previously worked at the Highland Titles Nature Reserve, stepped in to care for them as orphans and contacted us to ask if we could offer them a permanent home. We were delighted to say yes.

Our third cow, Donald, was rescued just in time. Previously destined for slaughter, he had been unwanted and overlooked. Thanks to your support, he is now thriving as a much loved member of our Highland family.

What Do the Highland Cows Do?

These gentle giants are more than just adorable - they’re vital to the ecosystem. Their grazing helps manage vegetation, which in turn encourages the growth of native plants and supports a rich variety of wildlife. By adopting a Highland cow, you’re helping preserve this natural balance.

Can I Visit My Adopted Cow?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to visit any time. If you’d like a Guided Tour, just purchase tickets in advance and coordinate your visit with our friendly nature reserve team.
