Our business benefits Scotland in many ways. As well as creating and managing multiple nature reserves, we attract thousands of visitors from all over the world to a remote part of the Highlands. Indeed, over 10,000 visit the Highland Titles Nature Reserve near Duror every year, making us an important contributor to the local economy.
In addition, we support several good causes, local groups and organisations, either through education, involvement or financial support. If you are involved in fundraising for a good cause, particularly if it is connected with Scotland and the Highlands in any way, please get in touch.
We are proud to have supported the following local organisations:
We have also supported a wide range of other good causes including:
* Highland Titles donated £3700 to Trees for Life between 2013 and 2016 in support of the renovation of the bothy base for tree planting volunteers in Glen Affric, and towards their general work to restore the Caledonian Forest. In 2015 we contracted them to plant 1100 trees at Bumblebee Haven. We were please to welcome Alan Watson Featherstone, the founder, executive director and trustee of Trees for Life to our Gatherings. Alan was removed from the Trees for Life staff on 30th October, 2017 by a new Chief Executive Officer, Steve Micklewright and our confidence in Trees for Life as an organisation worthy of our support has now ceased.
We are keen to sponsor groups that represent Scotland and encourage the preservation of our long celebrated traditions, heritage and land.
Highland Titles is the major sponsor of the Lochaber Pipe Band, based in Fort William. The Lochaber Pipe Band plays at many engagements, such as Highland Games, Gala Days and Charity Events throughout the West Highlands and beyond. They also participate in pipe band competitions all around Scotland.
We attend a lot of Highland Gatherings in order to meet our supporters. In addition, we sponsor several each year. We have sponsored or otherwise supported the following Gatherings recently:
Champions of local groups, Highland Titles also contributes to wider causes. Read more about our passion for conservation.
Highland Titles also work alongside these three organisations quite closely as not only sponsors but partners as well. We encourage you all to visit their sites and learn more about the great work they are doing to preserve endangered species – both plants and animals – in Scotland.
