Highland Titles Nature Reserve, Glen Nant
130 acres of “Scotland’s Rainforest” supported by our Lairds, Lords & Ladies.
We were delighted to be given the opportunity of owning 130 acres of National Nature Reserve. Known as Scotland’s Rainforest, the ancient oak woodland at Glen Nant is a special place, as evidenced by the SSSI and SAC status.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Nature Scot, Scotland’s Nature Agency, to protect and conserve this area of national importance.
In addition to the ancient oak woodland, this nature reserve is home to woodpeckers, warblers and red squirrels and over 2km of the River Nant.
It also affords the occasional view of Ben Cruachan.

Our Aims
Glen Nant is a very different project to our other nature reserves. Whilst the reserves at Duror, Mountainview and Kilnaish have scope for long term rewilding projects, the land at Glen Nant is untouched ancient oak woodland and we simply aim to protect it and keep it that way.
Nature Scot have an existing management plan, and we hope that our ability to move quickly (in comparison to a government agency) will allow us to assist.
Visiting the Reserve
We will not sell plots of land from this location and whilst you are free and welcome to visit, please bear in mind that the land has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.
